Animator for Educational Explainer Video
Worldwide
Looking for an experienced animator to create a 60-90 second educational explainer animation showing how hunger signaling works between the stomach and brain, including how this process is disrupted in obesity and how GLP-1 medications help restore it. Final delivery should include the full animation plus three separately cut clips for flexible posting, in a clean, modern science explainer style (think Kurzgesagt) for a general, non-medical audience. Details below: Medical Animation — Hunger Signaling & GLP-1 Mechanism (Gut-Brain Axis) Project Description: I'm looking for an experienced animator to create an educational medical animation explaining the gut-brain hunger signaling pathway, designed for a general audience (parents and patients, not medical professionals). The animation should tell one cohesive story across three sections: normal hunger signaling, how this is disrupted in obesity, and how GLP-1 medications help restore it. I'd like the final video delivered both as one full continuous animation, and as three separately cut clips (one per section), so I have the flexibility to post it as a full piece or as a short series. What the animation needs to show: Normal hunger signaling — how the stomach communicates with the brain via hormones (such as ghrelin and leptin) to regulate hunger and fullness in a healthy metabolic system Disrupted signaling in obesity — how this communication pathway becomes impaired in individuals with obesity, leading to inconsistent hunger and satiety cues How GLP-1 medications work — a clear visual explanation of how GLP-1 receptor agonists interact with this pathway to help restore appropriate hunger and fullness signaling Note: This involves an accurate but simplified depiction of a real biological pathway. You won't need to research this on your own — I have a detailed reference document outlining the process and key insights, and I'm happy to walk through it together to make sure everything is clear before you start. Style requirements: Clean, modern medical animation style — think editorial/explainer video, not cartoonish or childlike Simple, clear visual metaphors that make a complex biological process easy to understand for a non-medical audience Smooth transitions between the three sections, with consistent visual style and characters throughout Reference style: similar to Kurzgesagt — clean, engaging science explainer animation Color palette and tone to be confirmed with brand guidelines (can share) Format requirements: Vertical 9:16 (Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, Stories) Also need a 4:5 version (Instagram feed posts) Designed for mobile viewing Deliverables: One full animation, 60-90 seconds total, broken into three clear sections Three separately cut clips (one per section) for flexible posting File format: MP4 No voiceover or sound design needed — voiceover will be added separately Vertical 9:16 and 4:5 versions of all files I'll provide more detailed medical content and reference materials once we connect.
