**Title:** Mobile Subscription Monetization Operator — Superwall, Paywalls, ASO, Stripe/IAP Strategy **Overview** We are looking for an experienced **mobile subscription monetization operator** to help lead the app monetization, paywall, and app store conversion workstream for a consumer health and nutrition app integrated with a weight-loss e-learning/coaching program. This is a **hands-on marketing, monetization, and conversion role** — not a software development role. We already have a mobile development team. We need someone who understands how consumer subscription apps should structure their paywalls, app store presence, checkout paths, pricing, offers, entitlements, and testing strategy across a multi-channel ecosystem. The right person is not just a consultant who gives advice. We need someone who can **own the mobile subscription monetization workstream**, build or directly manage the buildout of paywalls in Superwall, launch tests, analyze results, and work closely with our marketing, design, and development teams to improve conversion. The user journey we are optimizing includes: **App Store / Google Play discovery → install → onboarding → activation → paywall → checkout → subscription → retention** We especially need support across: * Superwall paywall strategy, setup, buildout, and testing * iOS in-app purchases * Android / Google Play billing * Stripe web checkout * Web landing pages and app-to-web purchase paths * Subscription entitlements * Multi-tier pricing and offer hierarchy * Trial and introductory offer strategy * ASO and app store conversion * Attribution and funnel measurement **Important:** This is not a coding role. We are not looking for a React Native developer, iOS developer, Android developer, or backend engineer. We are looking for someone who understands **mobile subscription growth, Superwall/paywall operations, app monetization, ASO, and cross-channel purchase flow strategy**. **About the product** This is a consumer nutrition and weight-loss app that helps users track food, calories, macros, movement, and progress. The product is expanding from a simple calorie-tracking app into a broader subscription ecosystem with multiple offers, including a higher-value coaching/accountability program connected to a weight-loss learning experience. We are moving toward a more complex product and revenue structure, with different user entry points across the mobile app, website, landing pages, email, paid acquisition, and in-app upgrade flows. We need someone who can help make the monetization strategy clean, commercially strong, practical to implement, and actively tested inside the app. We already have a development team and broader marketing/GTM support. However, our marketing team is not deeply specialized in mobile app monetization, Superwall, paywalls, App Store conversion, or Stripe/IAP strategy. This role exists to fill that gap. **What we need help with** We are looking for someone who can lead and execute the app monetization workstream across the following areas: ### 1. Superwall paywall buildout and testing You will help lead the practical buildout and optimization of our Superwall paywalls. Responsibilities may include: * Build, configure, or directly manage the buildout of paywalls in Superwall * Create and organize paywall variants for testing * Work with our designer on paywall layout, hierarchy, messaging, and creative needs * Work with our development team on placements, triggers, events, entitlements, and implementation requirements * Create test plans for paywall messaging, pricing presentation, trial structure, upgrade prompts, and offer framing * Launch, monitor, and evaluate paywall tests * Recommend when to iterate, pause, scale, or replace paywall variants * Help translate funnel insights into practical Superwall experiments You do not need to code the app, but you should be comfortable operating inside tools like Superwall and guiding the team on what needs to be implemented. ### 2. Stripe vs IAP / checkout strategy We need help determining the optimal purchase and subscription strategy across iOS, Android, and web. Responsibilities may include: * Help determine which products/offers should be sold through in-app purchases versus Stripe/web checkout * Advise on the commercial tradeoffs between App Store / Google Play billing and web-based checkout * Help structure a strategy that is practical across iOS, Android, and web * Define when users should see native paywalls versus web checkout flows * Identify risks, constraints, and implementation considerations for cross-channel subscription sales * Work with the team to avoid creating a confusing, fragmented, or non-compliant purchase experience * Help document the recommended checkout strategy by product tier, channel, and user entry point ### 3. Subscription architecture and offer strategy We need support structuring multiple subscription offers in a way that users can understand and the business can optimize. Responsibilities may include: * Review our planned free, mid-tier, coaching/accountability, and premium/physician-led offers * Help define which offers belong inside the app versus on web landing pages * Recommend pricing presentation, offer hierarchy, trial/no-trial strategy, and upgrade paths * Help clarify how different tiers should be positioned against each other * Recommend subscription experiments that can be tested through Superwall, app flows, landing pages, or acquisition campaigns * Help simplify the user journey so users understand what they are buying and why ### 4. ASO and app store conversion We need someone who can also improve our App Store and Google Play conversion from a monetization perspective. Responsibilities may include: * Review App Store and Google Play positioning * Recommend ASO keyword and metadata improvements * Review screenshots, preview videos, and app store creative from a conversion perspective * Compare our positioning against other consumer health, nutrition, weight-loss, habit, and coaching apps * Help align app store messaging with our paywalls, onboarding, and subscription offers * Work with the designer and marketing team to brief app store creative improvements ### 5. Funnel and measurement strategy We need an operator who can help us understand whether the funnel is actually improving. Responsibilities may include: * Define the key metrics we should track across App Store Connect, Google Play Console, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel, Superwall, Stripe, and subscription analytics * Identify gaps in attribution, event tracking, paywall analytics, and subscription reporting * Work with the development team to specify needed tracking events * Build a practical testing roadmap for improving install-to-paid conversion * Review test results and recommend next actions * Help create a rhythm for app monetization review with the broader marketing/GTM team **How this role fits with the team** We already have: * A mobile development team * A designer * Broader GTM/marketing leadership * Email/lifecycle marketing support * Landing page and campaign support This role is specifically responsible for bringing **mobile app monetization expertise** into the team. You will work actively with the marketing/GTM team, but you are not expected to own every marketing channel. Your focus is the app-specific monetization layer: **Superwall, paywalls, subscription offers, ASO, Stripe/IAP strategy, app funnel conversion, and mobile subscription testing.** **What this role is not** This role is not for: * Mobile app developers * React Native developers * iOS or Android engineers * Backend developers * SDK integration specialists * General software consultants * UI implementation-only specialists * Broad social media managers * Email-only marketers * Brand strategists with no subscription app experience You may need to understand how mobile subscriptions, entitlements, events, attribution, and checkout flows work, but you will not be expected to code or replace our development team. Initial paywall variants or detailed paywall briefs for immediate implementation 6. ASO and app store conversion review 7. Recommended subscription offer architecture 8. 30–60 day testing roadmap for paywalls, pricing presentation, checkout paths, app store conversion, and install-to-paid conversion 9. Clear written briefs for our designer and development team 10.
