AppFolio Integration & Automation Developer for 300-Unit Property Management Portfolio

## Summary We are seeking an experienced developer to assess and improve the technology infrastructure supporting a growing multifamily property portfolio of approximately 300 units. AppFolio is our primary property management platform, but several operational processes still rely on manual data entry, spreadsheets, email, and disconnected tools. Our objective is to create a more scalable and efficient back-office system through better integrations, workflow automation, data synchronization, and reporting. Applicants must have direct, hands-on experience working with AppFolio. Applications without practical AppFolio experience will not be considered. The scope may include: * Reviewing AppFolio workflows, integrations, user permissions, and reporting processes * Identifying repetitive administrative and operational tasks suitable for automation * Evaluating duplicate data entry, disconnected systems, and manual handoffs * Mapping data flows between AppFolio, spreadsheets, email, accounting tools, and other platforms * Recommending API-based integrations, webhooks, middleware, automation platforms, or custom scripts where appropriate * Improving internal reporting, operational dashboards, and management visibility * Identifying technical risks, data inconsistencies, security concerns, and process dependencies * Developing a prioritized 30-, 60-, and 90-day technical implementation roadmap The ideal candidate should have experience with: * AppFolio property management software * Multifamily property management operations * API integrations and third-party system connectivity * Workflow automation using Zapier, Make, or custom scripts * Data transformation, synchronization, validation, and error handling * Reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics * Secure handling of property, tenant, accounting, owner, and vendor data * Designing maintainable systems for small, lean operational teams * Documenting workflows, integrations, permissions, and system dependencies Experience working directly with multifamily property management teams is strongly preferred.
