Apparel Designer Needed for 15 College-Inspired All-Over-Print Golf Polo Designs

Yellowhammer Golf is looking for a talented apparel or surface-pattern designer to create 15 original all-over-print polo designs across three new college-inspired collections: Oregon Collection — 5 design concepts Penn State Collection — 5 design concepts Notre Dame Collection — 5 design concepts These schools have massive, passionate fan bases. Our goal is to create polos that those fans immediately connect with while still looking refined enough to wear at a country club, golf course, dinner, or casual event. This is not traditional, oversized college merchandise. The designs should feel like premium golf apparel first, with subtle references that fans will recognize and appreciate. Brand and Design Direction Please review these websites for inspiration: https://havengolfcompany.com/ https://golfyellowhammer.com/ We are looking for designs that are: Subtle but clearly relatable to each fan base Premium, polished, and commercially wearable Appropriate for both game day and the country club Built as seamless or repeating all-over-print patterns Creative without becoming overly loud, cartoonish, or cluttered Original and not copied directly from any existing brand or product Each design should tell a story or reference something meaningful to the school’s fans through colors, traditions, locations, phrases, history, symbols, architecture, local culture, or iconic moments. Designs should avoid simply repeating a school logo across the shirt. We prefer a thoughtful combination of smaller illustrated icons, subtle references, patterns, and supporting details. Important Intellectual Property Requirement Designs must not use official university logos, mascots, trademarks, copyrighted artwork, or protected phrases unless we specifically approve them. The designer should create original, indirect references to each school and fan base using general colors, traditions, locations, culture, history, and custom-created illustrations. All artwork must be original and created specifically for Yellowhammer Golf. Scope of Work The selected designer will create: 5 original concepts for Oregon 5 original concepts for Penn State 5 original concepts for Notre Dame 15 total polo designs Each concept should be meaningfully different. We do not want five minor variations of the same pattern. We would like each collection to include a mix of directions, such as: Classic and traditional Modern and minimal Heritage-inspired Location or campus-inspired Game-day tradition-inspired Design Process For the first review, you may submit one of the following: A close-up pattern swatch A smaller repeating design tile A polo mockup showing how the pattern will look on the finished shirt Once a concept is approved, the final production-ready artwork should be completed at the required size. We expect reasonable revisions to refine colors, icon sizing, pattern spacing, balance, and overall presentation. Final Deliverables For each approved design, please provide: Final artwork sized at 4200 × 5400 pixels High-resolution PNG Editable source file in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or an equivalent professional format Seamless or production-ready all-over-print pattern All individual icons and graphic elements used in the design Polo mockup showing the finished concept Fonts converted to outlines or properly licensed Commercial usage rights transferred to Yellowhammer Golf Artwork must be clean, organized, and ready to send to our print-on-demand or apparel production partner. Ideal Designer We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following: Golf apparel design All-over-print apparel Surface-pattern design Textile design Men’s fashion or sportswear Vector illustration Collegiate-inspired lifestyle apparel Experience creating polos, button-down shirts, swimwear, athletic apparel, or repeating textile patterns is strongly preferred.
