Apparel Product Strategy & Product Development Advisor for Women’s Shapewear / Bodywear Brand

We are an established women’s apparel/bodywear DTC/ecommerce brand operating in Kazakhstan/Central Asia. We are looking for an experienced apparel product strategy and product development advisor to help us improve how we choose, develop, test, and launch new products. We need practical guidance on: - product strategy for a smaller local market - product line and assortment strategy - drop strategy and launch cadence - testing single products vs capsules/drops - supplier-led fabric sourcing and fabric approval controls - MOQ risk reduction for 500-1000 unit production runs - custom development vs supplier stock/adapted products - adapting successful Western references from brands like Skims, Spanx, TA3, Aritzia, Alo, Vuori, etc. without creating one-to-one copies - relevant design, silhouette, and fabric trends for shapewear, swimwear, activewear, bodywear, and premium basics Relevant experience: - women’s shapewear, swimwear, lingerie, activewear, bodywear, or stretch apparel - apparel product strategy and product line planning - fabric and trims sourcing - stretch fabric specs, compression, recovery, opacity, GSM - tech packs, BOM, POM, construction details - fit sample review and supplier correction comments - sampling process and pre-production approval - supplier/factory communication - small brand or DTC product development Deliverables: - 60-90 minute consultation call - written summary of recommendations - practical product development roadmap - lightweight checklists/templates for fabric approval, supplier questions, sample review, and pre-MOQ decision gates - optional follow-up support on selected product candidates This is not a fashion illustration project. We need strategic and operational product development advice for a small team working with suppliers, sampling constraints, and production MOQs.
