Arabic Data Annotators Needed — MSA, Gulf & Levantine Dialects We are building a large-scale Arabic language dataset and are looking for native Arabic speakers fluent in MSA, Gulf, or Levantine dialects to join our annotation team. This is a great opportunity for linguists, language enthusiasts, transcribers, or anyone with a strong command of their native dialect to contribute to cutting-edge Arabic NLP and speech technology projects. About the Role You will work on a variety of Arabic language data tasks, helping us collect, label, and evaluate both spoken and written Arabic across multiple regional dialects. Tasks will be assigned based on your dialect and area of strength. What You'll Be Doing Speech Transcription — Listening to Arabic audio recordings and accurately transcribing the spoken content, including dialect-specific words, expressions, and pronunciations. Speech Quality Analysis — Evaluating audio recordings for clarity, naturalness, accent authenticity, and overall recording quality. Text Quality Analysis — Reviewing written Arabic text for grammatical accuracy, fluency, coherence, and dialectal correctness. Dialect Identification — Listening to or reading Arabic samples and correctly identifying the regional dialect or sub-dialect being used. Diacritization (Tashkeel) Annotation & Evaluation — Adding correct diacritical marks to Arabic text and reviewing/evaluating existing diacritized text for accuracy. Named Entity Annotation — Identifying and tagging names of people, places, and locations within Arabic text or transcripts. Voice Over — Recording your voice reading provided scripts in your native dialect for use in voice/speech datasets. Who We're Looking For We're hiring native speakers who are deeply immersed in one of the following dialects: MSA — Modern Standard Arabic speakers Gulf — native Gulf Arabic speakers Levantine — native Levantine Arabic speakers Requirements Native fluency in the dialect of the region you're applying for (spoken and written) Strong reading and writing skills in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) as well as your local dialect Good attention to detail and consistency when following annotation guidelines A quiet environment and decent microphone/headset for voice-related tasks Prior experience in transcription, linguistics, translation, or data annotation is a plus, but not mandatory Reliable internet access and a computer for completing online annotation tasks What We Offer Flexible, remote work that you can do from home Competitive pay based on task type and volume Ongoing project work with the opportunity to take on more tasks over time Training and clear guidelines provided for each task type How to Apply Interested candidates should submit: A short note on your native dialect (MSA, Gulf, or Levantine) Any relevant experience in transcription, linguistics, or annotation A brief voice sample (if applying for voice-related tasks) Note: Please specify which task(s) you're most comfortable with (transcription, annotation, voice over, etc.) and confirm your native dialect (MSA, Gulf, or Levantine) when applying.
