Residential Architectural Designer for Custom Traditional Home (Ohio) Overview I'm designing a custom home in Ohio and have developed a preliminary floor plan and exterior concept. I'm looking for an experienced residential architectural designer to help refine the layout, improve functionality, simplify construction, and produce permit-ready plans. This is not a production home. I'm looking for someone with experience designing high-end custom homes with timeless American traditional architecture. About the Project Approximately 4,000–4,200 sq ft Two-story home Full 9' basement First floor: 10' ceilings Second floor: 9' ceilings Side-entry 3-car garage Simple rectangular footprint (cost-conscious) Traditional American exterior (not modern farmhouse) I already have: Preliminary floor plan Exterior elevations and inspiration images Room sizes Lot survey Site constraints What I Need I'm looking for someone who can: Review my current floor plan and improve flow Optimize room proportions Reduce unnecessary square footage without sacrificing functionality Design efficient structural layouts Simplify the roof while maintaining curb appeal Design attractive exterior elevations Prepare construction drawings suitable for permitting Experience with owner-builder projects is a plus.
