Architectural Lighting Designer

We are seeking an Architectural Lighting Designer to create a comprehensive lighting plan for a 2,000 sqm office space. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing lighting systems for commercial spaces and be able to provide a detailed plan including fixture types, placement, and controls. The project requires an intermediate level of proficiency and is expected to be completed in less than a month. • Develop architectural lighting concepts that support the design vision and spatial experience. • Prepare lighting strategies for interior, exterior, landscape, and façade environments. • Develop lighting plans, reflected ceiling coordination, fixture layouts, and lighting-control concepts. • Select suitable luminaires, light sources, beam angles, color temperatures, finishes, and technical specifications. • Prepare lighting mood boards, reference images, concept diagrams, and client presentations. • Perform lighting calculations and evaluate illumination levels, uniformity, glare, and visual comfort. • Coordinate lighting design with architecture, interior design, ceilings, joinery, furniture, façades, landscape, and MEP systems. • Develop lighting solutions for hotels, restaurants, guest rooms, lobbies, residences, offices, retail spaces, healthcare environments, and public areas. • Prepare fixture schedules, technical specifications, control-zone diagrams, and lighting design documentation. • Review architectural and interior drawings to identify lighting opportunities and coordination requirements. • Coordinate decorative lighting, architectural lighting, emergency lighting, and functional lighting requirements. • Review lighting shop drawings, technical submittals, and supplier proposals when required. • Support the BIM team in developing coordinated lighting models and construction documentation. • Participate in design meetings and present lighting proposals clearly to the project team and clients. Preferred Experience • Experience with hotels, resorts, restaurants, luxury residences, and high-end interiors. • Experience with façade and landscape lighting. • Knowledge of lighting-control systems, scene settings, dimming, DALI, and smart-building integration. • Familiarity with international lighting standards and sustainability requirements. • Experience coordinating with architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, suppliers, and contractors. • Experience preparing BIM-based lighting documentation. • Ability to review lighting samples, mock-ups, shop drawings, and technical product data. • Knowledge of decorative and custom-designed lighting fixtures.
