Summary

FLC Financial is a modern financial advisory firm dedicated to helping individuals build stronger financial futures through strategic financial engineering. Our approach goes far beyond traditional credit improvement. We analyze the complete financial picture, identify opportunities, and develop personalized strategies that improve financial stability, lending potential, and long-term financial outcomes. As we continue building our advisory practice, we're looking for an exceptional Consumer Reporting & Compliance Specialist to become one of the technical leaders behind our financial engineering process. This is not an administrative position. This is not a dispute processor. This is a role for someone who genuinely understands how the consumer reporting ecosystem works. If you naturally think about FCRA, Metro 2, data furnishers, bureau reporting, compliance, and consumer protection before thinking about disputes, you'll likely be an excellent fit. The Opportunity We're looking for someone who can become our internal subject matter expert on consumer reporting, credit compliance, and consumer protection regulations. Your expertise will help shape client strategy, strengthen internal processes, improve compliance, and support our Financial Engineers when navigating complex consumer reporting situations. You'll help ensure every recommendation we make is technically sound, legally compliant, and built around long-term client success. What You'll Do • Analyze complex consumer credit reports and identify reporting inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and compliance concerns. • Interpret consumer reporting issues using applicable federal regulations and industry standards. • Evaluate reporting practices under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Metro 2 guidelines, CFPB guidance, and other applicable consumer protection laws. • Research complex reporting scenarios and develop compliant strategic recommendations. • Support Financial Engineers with technically challenging client situations involving bankruptcies, repossessions, charge offs, collections, foreclosures, identity theft, mixed files, and other complex reporting issues. • Monitor regulatory updates, enforcement actions, bureau policy changes, and evolving industry standards. • Help build internal compliance procedures, quality assurance standards, and operational best practices. • Review reporting practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance. • Serve as the company's internal authority on consumer reporting and compliance matters. • Continuously improve our knowledge base and help strengthen the technical expertise of the organization. What We're Looking For We care far more about expertise than job titles. You should have extensive knowledge of: • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) • Metro 2 Reporting Standards • Consumer Reporting Agencies • Furnisher Responsibilities • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) • Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) • Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) • Consumer reporting investigations • Credit bureau reporting systems • Data accuracy and compliance • Consumer credit reporting processes You should be the type of person who enjoys reading regulations, researching guidance, understanding enforcement actions, and staying ahead of changes within the consumer reporting industry. Ideal Background We're interested in professionals with experience such as: • Consumer Reporting Agency experience (Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion) • Consumer reporting operations • Consumer reporting compliance • Metro 2 reporting • Consumer finance compliance • Bank underwriting • Lending operations • Credit risk • Consumer reporting investigations • Consumer protection compliance • Financial institution compliance • Credit data quality • Regulatory compliance • Consumer reporting consulting • Consumer law firms focused on FCRA and consumer reporting If your background doesn't fit one of these exactly but you've become an expert in this field, we'd still like to hear from you. What Success Looks Like The right person won't simply answer questions. They'll help elevate the technical standard of the entire company. They'll become the person our Financial Engineers trust when navigating difficult reporting issues, interpreting regulations, evaluating compliance risks, and developing legally sound strategies for clients. Why Join FLC Financial? • Fully remote position • High autonomy and ownership • Opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing financial advisory firm • Work directly with leadership • Help build proprietary financial engineering systems and methodologies • Long-term leadership opportunity as the company grows How to Apply Please send: • Resume • LinkedIn Profile (if available) • A brief introduction explaining why you're the best fit for the position • Tell us a little about your knowledge, the systems you use, and what turnaround time your clients usually see.
