3D Artist Needed: Design a Premium Showcase Sample Kit for a 3D Printing Company

Project Summary Stone Forge LLC is developing a premium physical showcase kit that will be mailed to qualified prospective customers. The finished kit will demonstrate the quality, precision, engineering, and craftsmanship of our resin and FDM manufacturing capabilities. This listing is only for Milestone 1 of a larger project. The successful designer will have the opportunity to continue through additional paid milestones if the work meets expectations. Objective Design one flagship showcase piece that immediately communicates the quality and craftsmanship of Stone Forge. This piece should become the centerpiece of our future capability kit and be something customers are likely to keep on display. The design should feel premium, memorable, and timeless—not like promotional merchandise. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a designer who understands more than just 3D modeling. The ideal candidate understands: - Product design - Manufacturing - Resin printing - FDM printing - Perceived value - Production efficiency - Commercial product development We want someone who can balance aesthetics with real-world manufacturability. Design Goals The flagship piece should demonstrate several of the following where appropriate: - Exceptional surface quality - Fine detail - Organic and hard-surface modeling - Clean geometry - Professional proportions - Strong visual impact - Efficient manufacturing - Repeatable production This piece should represent the Stone Forge brand and set the standard for future showcase items. Deliverables - One original production-ready design - Native source files (preferred) - STL - STEP (where appropriate) - 3MF (if available) - Recommended print orientation - Commercial manufacturing rights - Brief explanation of the design decisions Print Environment The design should be optimized for professional desktop manufacturing. Current equipment includes: - Bambu Lab H2D - Elegoo Saturn 16K Ultra Designs should consider the strengths and limitations of both FDM and resin production where applicable. Future Work This is intended to be the first milestone of a larger project. Designers who produce exceptional work will be invited to continue with additional paid milestones that may include: - Resin showcase pieces - FDM showcase pieces - Functional mechanical demonstrations - Material demonstration samples - Complete capability kit development We are looking to build a long-term relationship with a designer who can grow alongside our company rather than simply complete a single project.
