Summary

Blue Sky Energy is a licensed residential solar and battery storage installer based in Los Angeles (CA Lic. #632049, founded 2006). We need an attorney licensed in California to review and finalize two versions of our residential Terms and Conditions — one for LADWP service area customers, one for SCE service area customers. What we're sending you: A pre-attorney draft T&C (approximately 8 pages), Addendum A (extended warranty elections), and a one-page diff document showing every section that differs between the LADWP and SCE versions so you only review the full document once. Scope of review: Confirm BPC §7159 / §7159.5 compliance — required headings, notices, type sizes, payment structure, progress payment language Confirm BPC §7169 solar disclosure placement and content Confirm BPC §7191 arbitration clause — formatting, statutory notice language verbatim, initials requirement Advise on post-statutory-window cancellation fee — permissibility and maximum defensible amount under Civil Code §1770 Confirm Civil Code §2782 compliance for the indemnification clause (Addendum, R1) Confirm Civil Code §8132 mechanic's lien language and deadline accuracy (90/60/30-day structure) Confirm California Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Civil Code §1633.1) requirements if we execute electronically Advise on late payment interest rate — appropriate rate for residential consumer contracts Confirm the scope incorporation-by-reference mechanism satisfies BPC §7159's description of work requirement Flag anything we missed What we are not looking for: A redraft. The document is structured and language is set. We need a compliance review, specific answers to the flagged questions, and redlines where language needs adjustment. Ideal background: California construction or real estate law. Familiarity with CSLB requirements and residential home improvement contract law. Solar industry experience a plus but not required — all statutory references are cited inline throughout the document. Timeline: 5–7 business days Please include your rate, a brief note on your California contractor/construction law experience, and confirm you are licensed to practice in California.
