*Audio Engineer and Video Editor for Video Podcast* We are looking for an experienced individual freelancer who is both a qualified audio engineer and a skilled video editor to support an established interview-led video podcast. This role is for someone who is technically strong, reliable, friendly, diligent, and detail-oriented. You must have direct experience editing long-form podcast conversations, including both in-person studio recordings and remote podcast recordings. This is an ongoing freelance role paid on an hourly rate in USD. *Role requirements* Please only apply if you meet all of the following: You are an individual freelancer — no agencies or production companies You are an audio engineer and can provide specific details of your audio engineering qualifications, training, or equivalent professional experience You are also an experienced video editor You have at least 3 years’ experience editing podcasts You edit in Adobe Premiere Pro You speak and write fluent English You have fast, reliable wifi and can comfortably upload/download large video files You have edited in-person studio podcasts with a three-camera setup and multiple audio tracks You have edited remote podcast recordings You are familiar with tools such as Frame.io and Riverside.fm You are happy to work on an hourly rate You are friendly, diligent, responsive, organised, and easy to work with *The work includes* You will be editing full video podcast episodes, including: Three-camera in-person studio recordings Multiple audio tracks Remote video podcast recordings Long-form interview episodes Audio clean-up, balancing, mixing, and polishing Video syncing, pacing, colour correction, and final exports Clean, natural conversational edits Potential short-form clips from full episodes Skills required *You should be confident with:* Multi-camera editing Syncing multiple cameras and audio tracks Audio clean-up and repair Dialogue editing EQ, compression, levelling, mixing, and loudness standards Removing mistakes, repeated lines, long pauses, background noise, and awkward moments naturally Editing long-form conversations so they feel smooth, warm, and professional Basic colour correction and visual polish Exporting high-quality video files for YouTube and video podcast platforms Organising project files clearly Taking feedback and making revisions carefully Working through feedback in tools like Frame.io Hourly rate and time expectation *This role is paid hourly in USD.* The budget for this role is $10–23 USD per hour, depending on experience, audio engineering qualifications, quality of work, and efficiency. Each episode typically takes around 4–5 hours total, including editing, audio work, revisions, exports, and delivery. Occasionally, some episodes may take longer depending on the complexity of the recording, number of revisions, or technical requirements. Any additional time will be discussed and agreed ahead of time.
