Audio Engineer for Course Recordings

About the Project We're building one of the most comprehensive startup and entrepreneurship education platforms, featuring courses taught by experienced founders, investors, attorneys, CPAs, and industry experts. We're looking for a highly skilled Audio Engineer who can transform raw recordings into polished, studio-quality audio suitable for premium online courses. This is not a music production role. We're looking for someone with extensive experience editing spoken-word content such as online courses, podcasts, interviews, webinars, or educational videos. Responsibilities For each lesson, you will: Remove background noise, hiss, hum, echo, and unwanted room noise Eliminate clicks, pops, mouth noises, breaths (where appropriate), and distractions Balance and normalize audio levels for consistent listening Apply professional EQ, compression, de-essing, limiting, and mastering Improve vocal clarity, warmth, and presence Ensure every recording sounds clean, natural, and professional Deliver audio optimized for online learning platforms The goal is for listeners to feel like the instructor was recorded in a professional studio. Requirements We're looking for someone who has: Proven experience editing spoken-word audio Experience with podcasts, educational content, interviews, or online courses Advanced knowledge of Adobe Audition, iZotope RX, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reaper, or similar professional software Excellent attention to detail Fast turnaround times Strong communication skills Ability to maintain consistency across dozens of lessons Bonus Qualifications Experience with any of the following is a plus: Startup or business education content Multi-camera course production Dialogue restoration Broadcast-quality mastering Loudness normalization for YouTube or online learning platforms To Apply Please include: A brief introduction about yourself.
