Audio Producer / Sound Designer — Immersive Museum Audio Tour (79 clips)

New Orleans Storyville Museum We're the highest rated and premier history museum in the New Orleans, and are producing a self-guided audio tour — 79 short narrated segments (roughly 60–90 seconds each) that guests listen to on handheld audio on demand devices (Guide-ID brand) as they move through the museum. Think audiobook meets audio drama: a warm narrator carries the story, with occasional character voices, period sound effects, and a few pieces of existing music woven in. We have a complete, production-ready script. We need a skilled audio producer to turn it into 79 finished, mixed, broadcast-ready audio files. What you'll be doing • Generating the narration using ElevenLabs AI voices (we'll direct voice selection with you) • Adding period-authentic sound effects to frame each segment (a train arriving, a saloon piano, street ambience, cannon fire) — effects should set the scene at the top and/or frame the end, never fight the narration • Integrating 4 pieces of existing museum audio (music clips we'll provide as source files) • Mixing and mastering all 79 files to consistent, professional loudness • Delivering clean, correctly named, ready-to-load files What we provide • A detailed production script with every segment numbered, all voice changes marked, and specific sound-effect cues written in • The 4 museum source audio clips • Direction on voice selection and the overall tone we're after • (We may generate some of the character voices ourselves and hand them to you — to be discussed) Ideal background • Audiobook production, audio drama / audio fiction, or narrative podcast production • Comfortable and experienced with ElevenLabs (or similar AI voice tools) and expressive voice direction • Strong sound-design instincts — you know how to make effects enhance a story rather than clutter it • Clean mixing and mastering to loudness standards • A portfolio with narration + character voices + atmospheric sound design (please share relevant samples) Technical delivery spec • One audio file per segment (79 total) • Mono WAV, 48kHz, loudness-normalized to −16 LUFS integrated, true peaks ≤ −3 dBTP, consistent across all files • Files named to our segment numbers (e.g., Clip_101_Welcome.wav) • All sound effects and music from licensed libraries; please deliver the license list with the final files • Two revision rounds per segment included How we'll hire — PAID TEST FIRST We're not hiring for all 79 clips up front. We'll shortlist a few candidates and pay each to produce ONE room (about 18 segments — it includes narration, several character voices, one music clip, and a range of sound-effect cues) as a paid test. Whoever nails it gets the full project at an agreed per-clip or per-room rate. Please include in your proposal: 1. Relevant samples (narration + sound design) 2. Your experience with ElevenLabs specifically 3. Your rate — for the paid test room, and your estimated per-clip rate for the full 79 4. Rough turnaround for the full project Terms Work-for-hire — we own all final files and outputs outright. This is a one-time project with potential for repeat work (we have a second museum in development that will need a similar tour).
