Australian Commercial Litigation Lawyer / Law Firm Needed for Unpaid Client Invoices and Debt Recovery in Perth, WA Overview Helper Consulting Services, LLC (HCS), a U.S.-based business operations consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Australian lawyer or law firm to assist with the recovery of unpaid invoices from a former client located in Perth, Western Australia. HCS is working in coordination with its U.S. legal partner, Johnson & Freeman, LLC, regarding this matter. We are now seeking local Australian legal counsel with experience in commercial disputes, breach of contract, unpaid invoices, debt recovery, and litigation within Western Australia. The former client engaged HCS for ongoing professional consulting and operational management services. Services were rendered and invoiced, but outstanding amounts remain unpaid. Prior efforts have been made to resolve the matter and obtain payment, including formal demands for payment. We are now evaluating the appropriate legal action available in Western Australia. Scope of Assistance The selected lawyer or law firm may be asked to: Review the service agreement, invoices, communications, payment history, termination documentation, demand letters, and supporting evidence related to the dispute. Advise HCS and its U.S. legal counsel regarding available legal remedies under Western Australian law. Assess the strength of the claim and recommend the most appropriate strategy for recovering the outstanding debt. Advise regarding jurisdiction, procedural requirements, potential causes of action, applicable courts or tribunals, and any pre-litigation requirements. Communicate or negotiate with the former client or their legal representatives, where appropriate. Prepare and issue any additional formal correspondence or legal demands required under Australian law. Commence and manage legal proceedings in Perth or elsewhere in Western Australia, if necessary and authorized. Coordinate with HCS leadership and Johnson & Freeman, LLC throughout the matter. Provide transparent guidance regarding estimated legal costs, court costs, timelines, risks, and potential recovery options. Ideal Qualifications We are particularly interested in lawyers or firms with demonstrated experience in: Commercial litigation and business disputes. Debt recovery and unpaid professional service invoices. Breach of contract matters. Disputes involving consulting, professional services, or independent contractor relationships. Western Australian civil procedure and court systems. Representing international or U.S.-based companies in Australian legal matters. Cross-border commercial disputes and coordination with foreign legal counsel. The attorney handling the matter must be appropriately qualified and authorized to practice in the relevant Australian jurisdiction and should have experience handling matters in Western Australia. About the Matter This is a commercial dispute involving professional services performed for a former Australian client. HCS has extensive documentation relating to the engagement, including agreements, invoices, communications, work records, project management records, and prior payment history. A formal demand for payment has already been prepared and delivered through HCS's U.S. legal support team. Additional documentation can be provided to shortlisted candidates after appropriate confidentiality protections are in place. We are seeking counsel who can provide an honest assessment of the matter and recommend a commercially practical path forward. While litigation may be necessary, our objective is successful and efficient recovery of the amounts legally owed rather than pursuing unnecessary legal proceedings. When Applying Please include: Your experience with commercial debt recovery and unpaid invoice disputes in Western Australia. Your experience with breach of contract and professional services disputes. Whether you are admitted and currently authorized to practice in Western Australia. Your experience representing overseas or U.S.-based companies. Whether you are able to represent a foreign company in pre-litigation negotiations and court proceedings, if required. Your hourly rate, fixed-fee options, retainer requirements, and any anticipated initial consultation or case-review fees. A general description of how you would initially assess a matter of this nature. Your availability to begin reviewing the matter. Please do not provide confidential client information or privileged details from previous matters in your application. Engagement Structure We are open to working with either an independent Australian solicitor or an established law firm. The initial engagement will begin with negotiation, settlement discussions, debt recovery proceedings, or litigation as necessary. We are seeking a professional who is responsive, strategic, commercially minded, and comfortable coordinating with a U.S.-based company and its American legal counsel.
