We are looking for an experienced financial services project manager to provide practical, one-to-one training and interview preparation for my wife, who is seeking project management opportunities in the Australian financial services market. She has more than seven years of experience in wealth management in New Zealand and has worked across financial product launches, technology implementation, business analysis, application support, UAT, stakeholder management, operational readiness and process improvement. She is now based in Sydney and is applying for roles such as: Financial Services Project Manager Project Analyst Business Analyst Product Implementation Manager Transformation Project Manager Wealth Management Project Manager We need someone who has personally managed projects for a major Australian bank, investment manager, superannuation fund, wealth-management company or financial institution. Training Required The training should be practical and delivered over a small number of focused sessions. Topics should include: How financial projects are managed in Australian banks and investment companies Financial-product launch lifecycle from business case to go-live Project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure Governance structures, steering committees and working groups Managing legal, risk, compliance, operations and technology workstreams Regulatory and compliance considerations in Australian financial services UAT planning, defect management and business sign-off Data migration, reconciliation and implementation readiness Vendor, registry, custodian and platform management RAID logs, project plans, status reports, budgets and resource plans Managing dependencies, milestones and critical-path activities Change management, communications, training and operational readiness Go-live planning, cutover, hypercare and post-implementation review Agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches used by Australian financial institutions Practical use of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence and other common project-management tools Australian project-management terminology and interview expectations Mock interviews using real financial-services project scenarios How to clearly present her New Zealand experience as relevant to Australian employers Expected Outcomes By the end of the training, she should be able to: Confidently explain how she managed a financial-product launch Describe project governance, risks, dependencies and stakeholder management Answer behavioural and scenario-based interview questions Prepare a realistic project plan for a financial-product launch Present steering-committee updates and project-status reports Demonstrate practical knowledge of Australian banking and wealth-management projects Position herself confidently for project-management roles in Sydney Ideal Candidate The preferred trainer will have: At least 8–10 years of project-management experience Direct experience with Australian banks, superannuation funds, investment managers or wealth-management organisations Experience delivering financial-product launches, platform implementations, migrations or regulatory projects Strong knowledge of project governance, UAT, risk, compliance and operational readiness Experience interviewing or hiring financial-services project managers Strong communication and coaching skills Ability to provide practical examples rather than only theoretical training Deliverables Please include: Four to six live online training sessions A customised training plan Financial-product launch project-plan template RAID log and status-report templates Steering-committee presentation template UAT and operational-readiness checklist Interview question bank At least two mock interview sessions Written feedback and areas for improvement
