Australian Payroll & Financial Document Specialist (Australian Payroll, Taxation & Reconciliation)

Budget: AUD $250.00 Fixed Price (Negotiable for highly experienced candidates) We are seeking an experienced, highly detail-oriented freelancer with expertise in Australian payroll, taxation, and financial document analysis. The successful candidate will review financial documents, verify calculations, reconcile information, and prepare accurate supporting schedules and professionally presented documentation. Initial Scope of Work Review 1 Australian tax return. Analyse 4 Australian payslips. Review 2 months of bank statements. Reconcile figures across all documents and identify any discrepancies. Verify payroll calculations, PAYG withholding, superannuation, leave entitlements, taxation and net pay. Prepare accurate Excel schedules and supporting calculations. Professionally format reports, spreadsheets and PDF documents where required. Produce high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail. Potential Ongoing Work This is an initial fixed-price project. The successful applicant may be offered ongoing work, which may include: Reviewing additional payroll records and financial documents. Performing further payroll calculations and reconciliations. Updating Excel workbooks, schedules and supporting documentation. Preparing professionally formatted payroll reports and financial summaries. Assisting with ongoing payroll-related analysis and documentation. Future work may be arranged on either a fixed-price or hourly basis, depending on the scope of the project. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience with Australian payroll and taxation. Strong understanding of PAYG, superannuation, Australian payslips and ATO reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and professional PDF/document formatting is highly desirable. Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred Experience Background in bookkeeping, payroll, accounting or finance. Experience using Australian payroll/accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, Employment Hero, KeyPay or similar. Previous experience reconciling payroll and financial documentation. Important Information Strict confidentiality is essential.
