Civil 3D Plugin Developer Needed for Technical Feasibility Review TD Cadworks Inc. is a Canadian Civil 3D consulting company established in 2005. We provide Civil 3D modeling, drafting, and technical design support to engineering and EPC firms working on earthworks, transportation, land development, and energy infrastructure projects. After nearly two decades of daily Civil 3D production work, we've identified a number of repetitive workflow challenges that we believe could become commercial productivity tools for the broader Civil 3D community. We're looking for an experienced AutoCAD Civil 3D .NET developer to evaluate the technical feasibility of our first plugin concept before we begin development. This engagement is not for software development at this stage. We're simply looking for an experienced technical opinion from someone who understands the Civil 3D .NET API and has experience developing production-quality plugins. This project is budgeted as a fixed-price $100 USD technical review, which we expect will require approximately one hour of your time. What we'll provide A 10 to 15 minute screen-recorded video explaining the current workflow and the problem we're trying to solve. Supporting screenshots and written notes. Sample Civil 3D drawings, if required. What we'd like from you = after reviewing the material, we'd appreciate your opinion on the following: Is the proposed solution technically achievable using the Civil 3D .NET API? Are there any significant technical limitations or challenges we should be aware of? Is there a better implementation approach than the one we've envisioned? A rough estimate of the development effort required. If you believe the project is feasible and you're interested, a proposal to develop the plugin. We're looking for honest technical feedback. If your conclusion is that the concept cannot be implemented cleanly or reliably, that's still a successful outcome for us. We'd rather understand the limitations now than invest time and money pursuing the wrong solution. This is intended to be the first of what we hope will become a growing suite of commercial Civil 3D productivity tools. If this initial engagement goes well, we'd like to establish a long-term working relationship with a developer who enjoys solving practical Civil 3D workflow problems.
