Summary

Project Title Generative Design & Simulation — Structural Safety Component — Autodesk Fusion Overview I am developing a new safety product and require an experienced Autodesk Fusion CAD engineer to design, optimise and simulate a structural safety component to precise engineering parameters. About The Project The component is a platform mounted structural device consisting of two elements: Element 1 — The Structural Plate A rigid base plate that sits on a standard seating platform. The occupant sits on this plate during normal use. Must withstand significant impact load forces without structural failure or deformation. Element 2 — The Hook A structural hook rising from the centre of the base plate. Intercepts and positively locks a standard restraint webbing strap at a defined position. Must not deform toward defined obstacle geometry above it under any load condition. Phase 1 — Reference Environment Build reference geometry in Fusion including seating platform, obstacle geometry, webbing path and design envelope. Full dimensions provided following NDA. Phase 2 — Generative Design Study Explore the following materials for each component — hook element: titanium grade 5, stainless steel 316, high strength steel. Base plate: 7075 aluminium, carbon fibre, magnesium alloy. Securing strap: Dyneema or equivalent rated webbing. Alternative materials welcome if they meet or exceed performance requirements. Load requirements — 30kN static minimum, safety factor 3.0, dynamic impact equivalent to 48km/h frontal deceleration, zero slack introduced into webbing routing. Phase 3 — Simulation & Validation Static stress analysis and dynamic impact simulation. Colour mapped stress outputs. Comparative analysis across all material candidates including weight, strength to weight ratio and manufacturability. Deliverables Fusion project file, minimum 5 design candidates with comparative analysis, manufacturing drawings, material specifications, STEP and IGES export files.
