Automated QA process using BugBug
Worldwide
We are looking for an experienced QA automation contractor to help us set up our initial automated testing environment in BugBug.io for a web-based software-as-a-service platform used for online community engagement. This is a new QA automation setup, so we are looking for someone who can help us design the structure from scratch, not just record individual tests. The ideal contractor will have experience setting up reusable automated testing systems for web applications with multiple user roles and permission levels. The initial project is expected to be up to 40 hours. The goal is to create the baseline QA structure in BugBug.io, define reusable components and variables, and build the first set of automated testing flows. If the initial setup goes well, there is potential for ongoing work to expand the test coverage over time. Responsibilities include: * Review our app, user roles, and training materials to understand the core workflows. * Help design the initial QA automation structure in BugBug.io. * Set up reusable variables and components, including login flows for different user roles. * Create test suites organized by user role and/or workflow. * Build approximately 10–20 initial automated test flows based on our guidance and training videos. * Document the setup so our team can understand, maintain, and expand the tests. * Recommend best practices for structuring tests in a way that is reusable and scalable. Example test flows may include: * Registering a new user account as a participant. * Logging in as different user roles. * Posting comments on existing documents or other engagement content. * Updating a user profile. * Creating basic content as an administrator. * Editing or reviewing administrative content. * Testing common user and admin workflows across the application. Required experience: * Hands-on experience with BugBug.io or similar no-code/low-code QA automation tools. * Experience designing automated test structures for SaaS or web applications. * Familiarity with user roles, permissions, and role-based testing. * Ability to create reusable test components, variables, and login flows. * Strong attention to detail and ability to document work clearly. * Comfortable learning workflows from training videos and written instructions. Deliverables for the initial project: * BugBug.io testing environment structured for our app. * Reusable variables/components for core workflows and role-based logins. * Initial test suites organized by role or workflow. * Approximately 10–20 working automated tests. * Basic documentation explaining how the setup works and how our team can add more tests. To apply, please include: * Examples of QA automation projects you have set up from scratch. * Your experience with BugBug.io or comparable tools. * How you would approach structuring reusable tests for an app with multiple user roles. * Your estimated timeline for completing an initial 40-hour setup project.
