Automation Developer Needed to Improve & Expand Existing Daily P&L Workflow

We are looking for an experienced automation developer to improve and expand an existing automation used for our daily P&L process. We're looking for someone who can contribute ideas and suggest improvements, rather than simply following instructions. If you see opportunities to make the workflow more efficient, reliable, or easier to maintain, we'd welcome your recommendations and best practices. Scope of Work 1. Review and improve the existing automation codebase. 2. Improve reliability, error handling, logging, and maintainability. 3. Integrate additional websites and data sources. 4. Automate navigation and screenshot capture across multiple platforms. 5. Extract key numeric values using OCR, direct data extraction, or other suitable methods. 6. Review and rework our existing financial Excel workbook. 7. Improve the layout, formatting, usability, and overall presentation of the workbook. 8. Build a clear summary page or dashboard for easier daily review. 9. Add relevant charts, key metrics, checks, or indicators where useful. 10. Ensure the final output is accurate, easy to review, and suitable for daily use. Deliverables 1. Improved and well-structured automation code. 2. Integration of additional platforms and data points. 3. Automated screenshot capture and data extraction. 4. Automated or semi-automated Excel output. 5. A cleaner and more professional financial Excel workbook. 6. A summary dashboard with key P&L metrics and visualisations. 7. Simple documentation and a short handover or video walkthrough. Preferred Experience 1. Browser automation using Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools. 2. Python or another suitable automation language. 3. OCR, web scraping, and data extraction. 4. Excel automation and advanced financial spreadsheet design. 5. Dashboard development and data visualisation. 6. Experience improving or maintaining an existing automation codebase.
