QA Automation Engineer (One-Off Project)

We are looking for an experienced engineer to assist with a one-off project to implement Playwright into our CI/CD pipeline to automate and improve our QA process. The goal is to build a reliable automated testing workflow that integrates into our existing deployment process, helping catch issues before release and improving overall confidence in deployments. Scope of Work Implement Playwright into our existing CI/CD pipeline Design and build automated end-to-end test coverage for core user journeys Integrate tests with GitHub workflows/actions Ensure test execution works smoothly within our DigitalOcean environment Advise on best practices for QA automation and release gating Improve deployment confidence by introducing automated pre-release validation Assist with documentation and handover to the internal team Requirements Proven experience with Playwright Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation Hands-on experience with GitHub, including GitHub Actions Experience deploying and managing applications in DigitalOcean Ability to build maintainable test suites for SaaS/web applications Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Deliverable A fully integrated automated QA pipeline using Playwright, ready for use in production workflows, with documentation and knowledge transfer.
