Automation Engineer for QA

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to help us build, improve, and maintain automated testing for our web application. This is a full-time, long-term remote role for someone who is highly skilled in Playwright, TypeScript, test automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD integration. About the Role You will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks, writing reliable end-to-end and regression tests, improving test coverage, and helping our engineering team deliver higher-quality software faster. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working closely with developers, QA, and DevOps teams. Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript * Create automated test scripts for web applications * Build end-to-end, regression, smoke, and integration test suites * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines * Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues * Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts * Maintain test data and test environments for automation execution * Generate test execution reports and share quality metrics * Participate in requirement reviews and provide testability feedback * Follow QA best practices and contribute to process improvements Required Skills * 3–5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation * Strong hands-on experience with Playwright * Strong experience with TypeScript * Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch * Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC * Experience with API testing and automation * Experience using Git * Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI * Ability to debug test failures and identify root causes * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Good communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have * Experience with REST API testing tools such as Postman * Experience with Docker or containerized test execution * Knowledge of performance testing concepts * Familiarity with Allure Reports or Playwright HTML Reports * Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber * Knowledge of SQL and database testing * Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform test automation * Jenkins experience What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who can do more than just write test scripts.
