AI/Automation Specialist Needed — Ongoing Testing & Maintenance for Job Auto-Apply SaaS
Worldwide
I run AiApplyAgent, an AI-powered job application platform (Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, Claude API) with a companion Chrome extension that auto-fills and submits job applications on LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, and Lever. I’m looking for someone who genuinely knows this specific space — not just a general developer, but someone who’s actually built or maintained job-search automation, LinkedIn/Indeed form-filling tools, or similar “apply bots” before — to test what’s live, fix what’s broken, and stay on as ongoing maintenance since this category requires continuous upkeep. Why ongoing, not one-time: LinkedIn, Indeed, and similar platforms change their DOM structure and form flows periodically, and this category of tool (browser automation on job boards) sits in a policy gray zone that requires someone who understands the space to make smart calls — not just “does the code run,” but “is this a sane way to interact with these platforms long-term.” I’d rather pay for a specialist who checks in regularly than patch things reactively every time something silently breaks. Tech stack: Next.js 14, Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic Claude API, JSearch/Adzuna (RapidAPI), Chrome extension (Manifest V3, vanilla JS). What I need first (initial engagement): 1. Live-test the Chrome extension’s auto-fill/submit logic against real LinkedIn Easy Apply and Indeed Apply listings, and fix whatever’s out of date 2. Advise honestly on submission behavior — I’m specifically interested in your take on full auto-submit vs. a “pre-fill only, human clicks final submit” model, given the account-risk tradeoffs on platforms like LinkedIn 3. Finish resume file upload support for Greenhouse/Lever (currently pre-fills text fields only) 4. Verify the Stripe checkout → webhook → plan-sync flow with a real test-mode transaction 5. Handle Chrome Web Store submission (privacy policy, listing, permission justifications) What I need ongoing (after that): • Periodic checks (monthly or as-needed) that the extension still works against current LinkedIn/Indeed/Greenhouse/Lever forms, since these sites change without notice • General API/backend maintenance as the product grows • Someone I can bring new feature ideas to who’ll push back with real expertise, not just build whatever I ask blindly Ideal freelancer: Has direct, specific experience with LinkedIn Easy Apply or Indeed Apply automation — this is a narrow, particular skill and generic “Chrome extension developer” experience isn’t quite the same thing. Understands (or is willing to discuss honestly) the platform ToS/account-risk tradeoffs inherent to this category, rather than just building whatever’s asked without comment. Engagement type: Starting hourly for the initial testing/fix phase, with the intent to move to a retainer (e.g., a few hours/month) for ongoing maintenance if it’s a good fit on both sides.
