Azure ExpressRoute Consultant (Short-Term Contract)

Azure ExpressRoute Consultant (Short-Term Contract) We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Azure networking consultant to assist one of our customers with provisioning and configuring an Azure ExpressRoute connection. The customer has already decided to use ExpressRoute but needs an expert to guide them through the Azure setup and work with their connectivity provider. Scope of Work * Review the customer’s Azure environment and subscription. * Create and configure an Azure ExpressRoute circuit. * Generate and provide the ExpressRoute Service Key. * Coordinate with the customer’s telecommunications provider or carrier to complete provisioning. * Configure Azure private peering (and Microsoft peering if required). * Validate BGP configuration and routing. * Verify end-to-end connectivity. * Document the completed configuration and provide knowledge transfer to the customer’s IT team. Required Skills * Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking. * Hands-on experience deploying Azure ExpressRoute. * Strong understanding of: * Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) * ExpressRoute Gateways * Azure networking architecture * BGP routing * Private Peering * Network Security Groups * Route Tables * Experience working with telecommunications providers during ExpressRoute provisioning. * Ability to troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and DNS issues. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customer IT teams. Preferred Qualifications * Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-700, AZ-104, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent). * Previous experience implementing ExpressRoute for healthcare or enterprise environments. * Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking and VPN failover. * Experience connecting on-premises data centers to Azure. Engagement * Short-term consulting engagement (approximately 5–20 hours depending on the customer’s environment). * Remote work. * Immediate availability preferred.
