Azure Solutions Architect

**Azure Consulting Solutions Architect — Requirements → Design → Deploy** We're looking for a senior Azure Solutions Architect to own the full lifecycle of a cloud engagement: sit with stakeholders to draw out what they actually need, translate that into a well-reasoned architecture, and then roll up their sleeves and deploy it. This is a hands-on, client-facing consulting role — equal parts advisor and builder — so strong communication matters as much as deep technical skill. You won't be handing your design off to someone else to build; you'll see it through to a working solution. **What you'll do** - Run discovery sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, then turn ambiguity into a clear scope. - Design Azure solutions that balance cost, security, performance, and scalability — and explain the tradeoffs in plain language. - Produce architecture diagrams, solution documents, and proposals that help clients understand and sign off on the approach. - Scope and estimate engagements: effort, cost, and timeline, plus the technical Q&A that builds client confidence in the plan. - Deploy and configure the solution in Azure, whether by hand or through infrastructure-as-code, and validate that it works as designed. - Hand off cleanly with documentation and, where needed, knowledge transfer to the client's team. **What we're looking for** - 5+ years architecting and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a track record of taking projects from first conversation to live deployment. - Excellent spoken and written English and genuine comfort leading client meetings — you can gather requirements, present a design, and defend your decisions. - Strong command of core Azure services: compute (VMs, App Service, AKS, Functions), networking (VNets, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid connectivity), storage, identity (Entra ID), and monitoring. - Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, ARM, or Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines. - Solid grasp of Azure security, governance, and cost-management best practices (Well-Architected Framework). - Proven experience scoping and estimating engagements and writing proposals or SOWs. **Nice to have** - Azure certifications (AZ-305 Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-104, or similar). - Experience with migrations (on-prem → Azure) and hybrid environments. - Exposure to a specific industry or compliance regime relevant to us (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, finance).
