B2B SaaS Growth Operator (Player–Coach, Part-Time)
Worldwide
Overview We’re a B2B SaaS company (CMMS space) with minimal existing marketing. We are not looking for an agency or a high-level strategist. We want a hands-on operator who can assess our current position, design a simple go-to-market approach, and build a repeatable system to generate demos—while teaching us how to run it internally. This is a player–coach role: You will figure out what will work You will execute the first version You will build systems and train us to take over What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) Clear ICP and value proposition defined and tested A working pipeline for generating demo opportunities At least one reliable acquisition motion identified (outbound, content, partnerships, etc.) Early traction (conversations, demos, or pipeline—not vanity metrics) Core processes documented so we can continue without you Responsibilities 1. Diagnose and define approach Assess our product, market, and current position Identify the most effective initial go-to-market motion Define ICP, messaging, and targeting 2. Execute and iterate Launch and run early-stage lead generation (channel-agnostic) Test messaging and approaches quickly Focus on getting real conversations and demos, not just activity 3. Build simple, repeatable systems Create practical workflows for: Lead generation Outreach / inbound handling Conversion to demos Keep everything lean and usable 4. Teach and transfer capability Work closely with the founder (hands-on, not just reporting) Document playbooks, templates, and processes Ensure we can continue running the system ourselves Requirements (Strict) Proven experience personally executing early-stage B2B SaaS growth Ability to take a company from low/no marketing → first consistent pipeline Comfortable choosing channels and tactics based on context (not bias) Able to show real examples of execution (not just strategy decks) Strong bias toward action, simplicity, and results Not a Fit If You lead with strategy but don’t execute You depend on large budgets or paid ads early You specialise in only one channel and apply it everywhere You cannot clearly explain how you generate pipeline Engagement Details Part-time (5–10 hours/week to start) Initial 3-month engagement Budget: £800–£1,500/month (flexible for the right person) How to Apply (Required) If you joined us, how would you approach getting our first 10–20 demos? What factors would determine your choice of channels and strategy? Show examples of work you’ve personally executed (not managed) What would you do in your first 2 weeks?
