Backend Developer (Bubble + Airtable + n8n) — API Integrations & Workflow Automation

We're looking for an experienced automation developer to help us build and maintain automations for our internal workflows and client projects. You'll be working hands-on with our core stack: Bubble, Airtable, and n8n connecting various APIs and designing workflows that make our operations run smoother. This is not a "follow the ticket" role. We want a problem-solver: someone who, when faced with a blocker (a missing API endpoint, a rate limit, a tool limitation), doesn't stop and wait, they figure out a workaround, test a different approach, or find a creative way to combine tools to get the job done. What You'll Do Design and build automations in n8n for internal workflows and project needs Connect and integrate third-party services via REST APIs and webhooks Work with Airtable as a database layer structuring bases, syncing data, and automating updates Support and extend our Bubble applications, including API connections and backend workflows Troubleshoot broken automations and propose more reliable alternatives Suggest improvements if you see a smarter way to do something, we want to hear it What We're Looking For Proven experience with n8n (or similar tools like Make/Zapier, with willingness to work primarily in n8n) Solid experience working with APIs: authentication (API keys, OAuth), pagination, webhooks, JSON handling, error handling Hands-on experience with Airtable (formulas, automations, API) and Bubble (workflows, API Connector) A logical, solution-oriented mindset — when something doesn't work out of the box, you experiment, research, and find a way around it Ability to explain your solutions clearly and document what you build Good communication and reliability — you flag blockers early and propose options, not just problems
