Summary

We are building a home network storage device (similar to a NAS). We need a backend system to manage devices, users, and payments. What you will build: Device API Device sends UUID on first boot → server validates and activates Device sends heartbeat every 5 minutes → server tracks online/offline Server sends OTA update trigger to device User Web Dashboard (simple HTML — no React needed) Register / login with email and password Enter device code from box → links device to account View device status (online / offline) View monthly earnings Enter PayPal email for monthly payment Admin Panel View all devices and status Trigger OTA updates Process monthly payments via PayPal Payouts API Tech stack: Node.js or Python + PostgreSQL + simple HTML/CSS Hosting: DigitalOcean or something better Budget: Fixed price preferred Please share relevant portfolio and estimated timeline.
