Backend Developer Needed for Node.js Code Review & API Optimization

We're looking for a backend developer with experience in Node.js, Express.js, MySQL, AWS, REST APIs, JWT Authentication, Git, and Docker. We need help reviewing an existing Node.js backend and resolving a few issues before we continue development. The assignment should take 2–3 days. Current tasks include: Review the backend architecture and project structure. Optimize a few slow API endpoints (Users API, Orders API, Notifications API). Improve database queries and add missing indexes where needed. Review JWT authentication and middleware. Fix a few reported bugs and clean up unused code. Document all the api issues you find. We're looking for someone comfortable working with an existing codebase and writing clean, maintainable code. Project Length: 2 days Project Cost: 5 USD
