We are building a real-time data web platform. The frontend is 98% complete in HTML/CSS/JS. We need a backend developer to wire everything up, connect data sources, handle user authentication, and deploy to production. This is a clean, well-scoped project. No guesswork. No scope creep. Everything is documented. The milestone document attached to this posting defines the full scope and payment structure. WHAT YOU WILL BUILD Connect multiple third-party REST APIs and WebSocket data streams to existing frontend HTML pages. Build user authentication — email and password login, JWT tokens, email verification. Build and manage a user database — watchlist storage tied to user accounts. Build a breaking news admin panel — internal tool for publishing alerts to the platform. Deploy the full platform to production via Vercel. All code must be committed to our GitHub repository — no personal repos. SKILLS REQUIRED Node.js or Python. WebSocket implementation. REST API integration. PostgreSQL or MongoDB. JWT authentication. Vercel deployment. Clean GitHub commit history. THE TEST TASK — REQUIRED BEFORE ANY CONTRACT IS SIGNED Wire a live WebSocket data feed into one existing HTML page so that prices update in real time in the browser. Compensation: $100-$150. Timeline: 1 week maximum. We provide the HTML file, the API key, and full documentation. This is non-negotiable. No exceptions. HOW TO APPLY Send two examples of REST API or WebSocket integrations you have built — show the work, not a description of it. State your preferred backend stack.
