Backend Developer for OAuth and Social Media Analytics API Integration

We have a client reporting portal that currently pulls social media analytics through a third party provider. We are looking for an experienced backend developer to help us replace that provider with direct API connections to the major social platforms. Eventually, the portal will connect directly to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn. The goal is for clients to connect their own accounts securely through OAuth, without ever needing to provide passwords or API tokens. Our system should then securely store credentials, pull analytics on a schedule and save that data into our database. For the first phase, we want to keep things focused. You will review our existing portal and current integration, recommend the right architecture, design the OAuth and token storage process and build one working proof of concept. We expect to begin with either Meta or YouTube and will decide which platform makes the most sense after the initial technical review. The proof of concept should include: One working OAuth connection Secure access and refresh token storage A small set of account and content metrics pulled directly from the API Sample data saved into a test database Recommended database structure for future social metrics Documentation covering setup, permissions, risks and next steps Source code and setup instructions An estimate for completing the remaining platform integrations If the first phase goes well, there is a much larger project available. Future work would include Facebook and Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn integrations, scheduled data syncing, token refresh and reconnection, rate limit handling, failed sync alerts, historical snapshots, data normalization, dashboard integration, testing and deployment. We are ultimately looking to collect metrics such as followers, subscriber growth, views, reach, impressions, likes, comments, shares, saves, watch time, profile visits and individual content performance. We understand that available data varies depending on each platform and its approved permissions. You should have strong experience with OAuth 2.0, REST APIs, secure token storage, refresh tokens, databases, scheduled jobs, API rate limits and error handling. You must also have hands on experience with at least two of the following: Meta Graph API Instagram API Facebook API YouTube Data API YouTube Analytics API TikTok API LinkedIn API Experience completing Meta App Review, Google OAuth verification or similar platform approval processes would be a big advantage. Security is important to us. Authorization codes should be exchanged server side, tokens encrypted at rest, app secrets kept outside the main database and only the permissions actually required should be requested. All work will be completed using company owned repositories, developer apps, hosting accounts and cloud services. All code and documentation created during the project will belong to our company. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly, identifies platform limitations before promising features, documents their work properly and raises problems early. This is not a job where we want to become dependent on one developer. The code should be modular, understandable and easy for another developer to take over in the future.
