Backend Engineer for AI-Driven Business Operation Application

We are looking for a skilled backend engineer to help build a long-term AI-driven business operation application for service providers, and small business teams. The initial Next.js frontend setup will be prepared first. The selected developer will review the existing frontend pages and product flow, then continue development by building the backend, APIs, database, AI features, integrations, deployment, and production-ready foundation. This is not a simple website project. The goal is to build a real business application that helps users manage customers, requests, orders, tasks, messages, and daily workflows with AI support. Project Scope The application may include Customer and request management Business dashboard and admin panel Order, booking, or service workflow tracking AI-assisted replies, summaries, insights, and task suggestions User accounts, roles, and secure data handling Backend APIs connected to a real database Third-party API integrations Deployment and long-term feature development Responsibilities Review the initial Next.js frontend pages and suggest improvements Understand the product flow and frontend requirements Design and build scalable backend architecture Create APIs for customers, users, requests, tasks, messages, or orders Integrate a database such as PostgreSQL, Supabase, MongoDB, or Firebase Implement authentication, user roles, and secure data handling Add AI features using OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar APIs Connect external business tools or APIs when needed Prepare backend services for deployment and production use Work with GitHub branches, clean commits, and clear communication Continue development feature by feature until the full project is completed Required Skills Strong backend engineering experience Experience with Node.js, NestJS, Express, FastAPI, or similar API design and database integration Experience with PostgreSQL, Supabase, MongoDB, Firebase, or similar AI or LLM API integration experience Authentication and secure data handling Ability to work with an existing Next.js frontend Basic understanding of React and frontend integration GitGitHub workflow Deployment experience with Vercel, AWS, Render, Railway, DigitalOcean, or similar Nice to Have SaaS or business application experience CRM, booking, order, or shop management system experience Business automation experience Stripe or payment integration Admin dashboard experience Real-time features using WebSocket or SSE Background jobs, queues, or scheduled tasks Good understanding of UIUX and frontend structure Workflow I will prepare the initial Next.js frontend setup with my assistant.
