Backend Engineer for Finance Sector

Backend Engineer (Node.js, TypeScript & React) | 4–8 Years | Bangalore Recro is hiring for one of our leading product-based clients in the FinTech/Capital Markets space. We are looking for passionate backend engineers who enjoy building scalable, high-performance systems and thrive in fast-paced engineering environment. Experience * 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience. * Prior experience in **FinTech, Finance, Capital Markets, Trading, or Payments** is highly preferred. * Experience or interest in **Crypto** or **Digital Assets** is a strong advantage. ## Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using **Node.js** and **TypeScript**. * Build reliable, high-performance APIs and distributed systems. * Collaborate with frontend engineers to develop seamless user experiences using **React**. * Design and optimize database solutions using **MongoDB** and **PostgreSQL**. * Develop event-driven architectures using **Kafka** or similar messaging platforms. * Containerize applications using **Docker** and deploy services in **Kubernetes** environments. * Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following clean architecture principles. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in an agile environment. ## Required Skills * Strong proficiency in **Node.js**, **TypeScript**, and **React**. * Hands-on experience with **MongoDB** and **PostgreSQL**. * Experience working with **Kafka** or similar event-streaming platforms. * Strong understanding of **Docker** and **Kubernetes**. * Experience building scalable microservices and REST APIs. * Good understanding of software design patterns, clean code, and clean architecture. ## Cloud & Development Tools * Hands-on experience with **AWS** or similar cloud platforms. * Familiarity with **GitHub** workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines. * Comfortable working in **JIRA** and Agile development environments. * Exposure to AI-assisted developer tools is a plus. ## Good to Have * Experience building low-latency or high-throughput systems. * Exposure to **High-Frequency Trading (HFT)**, trading platforms, or capital markets. * Experience with **Crypto**, **Blockchain**, or Digital Asset platforms. ## What We're Looking For * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to take ownership and work independently. * Excellent collaboration and communication skills. * Passion for building scalable, production-grade systems.
