Backend Engineer for eCommerce Automation

We are JtoWorld, a Japan-based cross-border eCommerce operator selling Japanese products globally via eBay and expanding into new marketplaces. We're looking for a reliable backend engineer to help us build and maintain internal automation tools. --- What you'll work on --- - REST API development (Node.js / Python) - Supabase database integration - eBay-related data processing and automation - Internal tool development for inventory and listing management --- Requirements --- - Strong Node.js and Python skills - Experience with Supabase or similar (PostgreSQL) - Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude Code or Codex preferred) - Good English communication — fast response is a must - Available for async collaboration across time zones --- Contract structure --- - Start with a paid test task (onboarding rate: $5–8/h) - Rate increases to $10–15/h after successful onboarding - Approx. 5 working days/month to start --- Test task (paid) --- Build a simple REST API endpoint using Node.js that accepts mock eBay product data (JSON: title, price, item_id) and saves it to Supabase. Deliverables: 1. GitHub repository with clean, readable code 2. README in English explaining how to run it 3.
