Compensation • 5–8 years of experience: from ₹14 LPA • 10–12 years of experience: from ₹22 LPA About the Role We are seeking Backend Software Engineers at different experience levels to develop and maintain applications supporting the customer journey and lifecycle of a leading global travel technology company. You will collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, software engineers and data engineers to develop reliable, scalable and high-performing backend systems. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain APIs, tools and capabilities for centralizing data events. • Solve technical problems to improve development processes, increase efficiency and unlock new business opportunities. • Contribute to technical discussions about software architecture. • Support agile, incremental and sustainable architectural decisions. • Identify patterns and underlying issues in complex systems using logical and analytical thinking. • Develop stable and well-defined solutions that simplify and accelerate business decisions. • Help strengthen the reliability and integrity of payment pipelines. Requirements • At least two years of hands-on software engineering experience. • Strong knowledge of at least one backend programming language. Java is preferred, but candidates with strong Python or Golang experience may also apply. • Proven system-design and software-architecture experience appropriate to the candidate’s seniority level. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. • Candidates without the specified degree may be considered if they have at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the relevant specialty. • Strong communication and team-collaboration skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Experience working with teams across different time zones is an advantage. • Experience with reliability engineering, site reliability engineering, observability or monitoring is a strong advantage.
