2D Background Illustrator for Animated YouTube Channel

We're looking for a talented 2D Background Illustrator to help bring a brand-new animated mythology YouTube channel to life. Our videos combine humor, adventure, and mythology in a clean, cinematic 2D style inspired by modern YouTube animation — not anime and not highly rendered digital paintings. Your environments will become the worlds our characters explore, from ancient Greek temples and Viking villages to Japanese forests and the Underworld. What You'll Do: - Create high-quality stylized environments from storyboard panels. - Design backgrounds that are built specifically for animation. - Separate artwork into organized layers for parallax and camera movement. - Collaborate with our storyboard artist, character illustrator, and animator to maintain a consistent visual style. What We're Looking For: - Strong environment illustration skills. - Excellent understanding of perspective, composition, lighting, and color. - Experience creating backgrounds for animation, games, or motion graphics. - Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines. - Able to work in a clean, stylized cartoon aesthetic (just like this channel https://youtu.be/EHLI2WZUtXs?si=GPrKt0_DrEWg7OMc ) We're looking for someone who understands how to create production-ready animation backgrounds that an animator can immediately use.
