Job Post: Indonesian Language & Cultural Expert – Kalome Kalome is looking for a local expert in Indonesia to help launch our restaurant app in the country. We don’t just need a translator; we need someone who understands how people in Indonesia actually order food and use apps. We want our app to feel like it was built in Indonesia, not just translated from English. 1. What you’ll do App Localization: Translate our app’s buttons and text into natural, everyday Bahasa Indonesia. We’ll provide you with short videos and simple documents to guide you. Food Descriptions: Review the food descriptions our AI writes. Your job is to make sure they sound delicious, appetizing, and accurate to a local diner. Marketing: Help us adapt our marketing content so it resonates with local customers and feels culturally relevant. App Testing (UAT): Try out the app and tell us if anything feels "off." If there are specific features, payment habits (such as QRIS integration), or dining behaviors that Indonesian restaurant-goers expect, we want you to tell us so we can integrate them. 2. Who you are Native speaker: You speak fluent Bahasa Indonesia and good English. Food/Tech savvy: You have experience with apps or the food/restaurant industry. Culturally aware: You know how to make content sound "local" rather than just a direct translation. Easy to work with: You’re comfortable giving clear, helpful feedback on our digital documents and videos.
