Neener Analytics is seeking an experienced female voice actor to become the original voice of ARIA, our conversational AI engagement platform Our clearest creative reference is Terry Gross, host of NPR’s Fresh Air. We are drawn to the calmness, intelligence, gentleness, measured cadence, thoughtful emphasis, and natural inquisitiveness of her voice and interviewing style. Her delivery does not sound overly sweet, theatrical, seductive, aggressively cheerful, or artificially empathetic. The selected voice must be original and recognizably the actor’s own. Terry Gross is simply the strongest reference for the tone, emotional and conversational effect we want the voice to create. The Voice We Are Looking For We are seeking a natural American English-speaking female voice with a perceived vocal age of approximately early-to-mid 30’s. The voice should feel: • Calm, grounded, and intelligent • Gentle without sounding maternal • Warm, but not overly sweet • Curious, without sounding excited or intrusive • Trustworthy, without sounding corporate • No breathy intimacy • Conversational, rather than scripted • Comfortable with natural pauses • Subtly expressive, without sounding theatrical • Slight natural texture rather than polished announcer smoothness • Capable of encouraging another person to keep talking The ideal actor can ask a question in a way that sounds as though she genuinely wants to hear the answer. We are not looking for a commercial announcer, game-show host, customer-service voice, meditation-app voice, stereotypical therapist, newsreader, highly polished audiobook narrator, seductive or breathy delivery, youthful influencer voice, or exaggerated character performance. Warmth should come from attention and curiosity, not from sounding as though the speaker is constantly smiling. About the Project ARIA is designed to engage people in natural, real-time, task-oriented conversations across banking, lending, insurance, retail, e-commerce, and other customer interactions. The selected actor will record a reasonable body of original material that will be used, with her full knowledge and written consent, to create a professionally produced synthetic version of her voice for ongoing commercial use within ARIA. This means the final voice may generate words, questions, responses, and conversations that the actor did not individually record. The project is expected to include: • A short custom audition • A short conversation with the founding team • Approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of final production recording • Professional voice verification and synthetic-voice creation through ElevenLabs or a comparable platform • Possible future pickup sessions A separate written agreement will cover compensation, consent, permitted uses, licensing terms, confidentiality, and synthetic-voice rights before production begins. What We Need to Hear Traditional commercial demo reels are welcome, but they will not be enough by themselves; those are not what this is. We are especially interested in samples that demonstrate: • Natural conversation • Calm questioning • Thoughtful pauses • Understated emotional expression • Documentary or interview-style delivery • Sensitive or serious subject matter • Long-form vocal consistency • Basically, you just having a conversation Applicants should have a professional microphone, a quiet and acoustically treated recording environment, and the ability to deliver clean, unprocessed WAV files. Do not submit an AI-generated, voice-converted, pitch-shifted, or synthetic audition. We need to evaluate your natural speaking voice. How to Apply Please include: 1.
