Benchtop Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) Instrument Prototype: Hardware + Control Software
Worldwide
We are building a benchtop capillary electrophoresis (CE) instrument prototype for research lab use, intended to couple to a mass spectrometer (CE-MS) for demonstrations and proof-of-concept work. The instrument applies up to 30 kV across a fused-silica capillary (~360 µm OD, ~50 µm ID) and requires low-pressure sample injection, capillary handling and alignment, and PC-side control software for voltage ramping and data logging. We are looking for an engineer who can work across mechanical, electrical, and firmware/software domains, and who has built scientific instrumentation before. Note on safety: this is a high-voltage instrument. Candidates must have hands-on experience with HV systems, including interlocks, insulation, and isolating the operator and low-voltage electronics from the HV rail.
