Beta Reader Needed — Nonfiction Book on Consciousness, Awareness & Decision-Making
Worldwide
I'm looking for 3-5 beta readers for a completed nonfiction manuscript exploring how awareness relates to experience — and how that relationship determines whether people act from force or clarity, especially under pressure. The book is aimed at high-performing founders, executives, and entrepreneurs. This is not a mindset, self-help, or motivational book. It's a structural explanation — closer to a framework or map than a coaching text. No exercises, no techniques, no prescriptions. If you're familiar with the tone of authors like Michael Singer, Eckhart Tolle, or Byron Katie — but written with more precision and directness, closer to how someone would talk to a CEO than a general audience — that's the register I'm going for. What I need from you: Read the manuscript (or a specified section) and give honest, specific written feedback Flag anywhere the writing drifts into typical "spiritual" or "self-help" language, tone, or structure Note anywhere it feels like a technique, exercise, or prescription is being implied, even if none is explicitly given Point out where the argument lost you, felt repetitive, or felt like it was explaining something you already understood Tell me honestly whether the neuroscience references feel credible or oversold To apply, please include: Two or three books in the consciousness/awareness/nonduality space you've read recently, and a sentence on what worked or didn't work for you as a reader Any experience as a beta reader, editor, or reviewer (formal or informal) Your availability and rate for a ~250-page manuscript Process: I'll likely start with a small paid sample (one chapter, ~10-15 pages) before committing to a full read, so I can make sure we're aligned on tone before going further.
