We're looking for beta readers to review a completed short manuscript and provide detailed feedback to ensure the story feels engaging and aligned with genre expectations. Word count: Approximately 30,000-40,000 words Genres: Varied Timeline: Within 7 days of receiving the manuscript. We're looking for feedback on: - Overall impression: What's your honest reaction as a reader? Would you recommend it or buy it ? -Content: Does it feel thin or repetitive? Any gaps, contradictions, or continuity issues? -Voice: Is the voice consistent and distinctive or generic? -Structure: Does the book flow logically or naturally? -Style: Sentence-level craft: clarity, rhythm, word choice, overused phrases and verbal tics, anything that reads awkwardly? -Weak spots: Any sections that feel flat, confusing, or disconnected from the rest. -For fiction: Are the characters original and well-executed? Please note down specific chapters, sections, or passages when you make a point. Example: "Chapter 4 loses momentum because the argument repeats what Chapter 2 already established," "The dialogue on page 42 is unnatural." This is not a copyediting or proofreading job.
