Beverage Container System Development — Innovative Consumer Drinkware Product

Project Overview: We are developing a patented (patent pending) premium beverage container system that incorporates proprietary noise reduction technology to significantly enhance the user experience. This technology draws from proven engineering principles used in aerospace, automotive, and architectural industries and applies them innovatively to the consumer drinkware market. We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to convert our existing patent specification into professional CAD/engineering drawings and guide prototype development for three key components. We are a startup in the premium drinkware space with a patented technology solving a real consumer pain point. We are looking for an engineer who is excited about innovative consumer products and wants to be part of something from the ground up. Scope of Work: Deliverable 1 — CAD/Engineering Drawings Produce detailed SolidWorks or Fusion 360 drawings for three product components: - Component 1: Lid assembly with vibration isolation mechanism - Component 2: Straw with specialized multi-layer wall structure - Component 3: Textured sleeve with multi-layer construction Deliverable 2 — Prototype Specifications - Material specifications for each layer of each component - Manufacturing recommendations for prototype production - Bill of materials for prototype build - Guidance on prototyping method (3D resin printing, silicone casting, etc.) Deliverable 3 — Prototype Oversight (Optional) - Review and approve prototype samples - Recommend refinements based on prototype performance Technical Requirements: The ideal candidate has working knowledge of: - Multi-layer wall construction and material science - Viscoelastic and energy absorbing materials - Vibration isolation principles - Food safe material compliance (NSF/ANSI 51) - Consumer product tolerances and manufacturability - 3D printing and prototyping methods Ideal Candidate Profile: Required: - Mechanical engineering degree - 5+ years consumer product development experience - SolidWorks or Fusion 360 proficiency - Prototyping experience - Strong portfolio of consumer product work Preferred: - Experience with vibration isolation or energy absorbing materials - Drinkware, food/beverage, or kitchenware product background - Experience working from patent specifications - Knowledge of injection molding design for eventual manufacturing scale Project Details: - Project type: Fixed price or hourly (open to discussion) - Estimated budget: $800-$1,500 depending on scope and experience - Timeline: CAD drawings within 3-4 weeks of project start - Location: Remote — open to engineers anywhere - NDA required: Yes — prior to sharing full project details What We Will Provide: - Complete patent specification document (after NDA execution) - Component briefs outlining function, performance goals, and key material requirements for each deliverable (provided after NDA execution) - Technical material specifications derived from patent documentation - Timely feedback and communication Note: Full project details including patent specification and component briefs will only be shared after execution of a mutual NDA.
