Bilingual Cold Caller / Appointment Setter for Bookkeeping & Tax Firm – LATAM Preferred

About Golden Bear Bookkeeping Golden Bear Bookkeeping is a California-based bookkeeping and tax firm serving small businesses, with a focus on contractors, construction companies, and trade businesses. We are looking for a confident and reliable bilingual cold caller / appointment setter to help us grow through outbound prospecting. This position will begin as a small 30-day paid trial of approximately 2–3 hours per week. If the campaign generates promising results, there may be an opportunity to increase hours and responsibilities over time. However, ongoing hours are not guaranteed. Primary Responsibilities Cold call contractors, construction companies, and other small businesses Speak with business owners and decision-makers Follow a simple and conversational call script Identify businesses that may need bookkeeping or tax support Handle basic objections professionally Schedule qualified appointments with the owner of the firm Update leads, call results, and notes in our CRM Follow up with interested prospects when appropriate Assist with basic lead research when needed This is NOT a bookkeeping or tax-advice position. You will not be responsible for providing accounting advice, answering tax questions, preparing tax returns, or closing complicated sales. Your primary goal is to start conversations, identify genuine interest, and schedule qualified appointments. Requirements Previous cold-calling or appointment-setting experience Excellent spoken English with clear, easily understood pronunciation, as this role involves frequent phone conversations with U.S.-based business owners Fluent Spanish strongly preferred Experience calling U.S.-based businesses preferred Comfortable speaking directly with small-business owners Friendly, confident, and natural communication style Reliable internet connection Quiet workspace suitable for phone calls CRM experience GoHighLevel experience is a plus Availability during some U.S. Pacific Time business hours Compensation $7–$10/hour depending on experience Approximately 2–3 hours per week initially Initial 30-day paid trial Performance bonuses may be available for qualified appointments that show and new clients generated Opportunity to grow If this becomes a good long-term fit, the role may expand beyond outbound prospecting. Future responsibilities could include: Answering incoming phone calls Scheduling appointments Basic client intake Following up with prospective clients Sending approved client portal or intake links Helping clients with basic administrative questions Assisting with tax-season administrative support Training and scripts will be provided for these responsibilities.
