Bilingual Creative Writing Assistant / Script Development VA.

I am a bilingual creative writer, playwright, filmmaker, and entrepreneur looking for a long-term virtual assistant / creative producer assistant to help me continue developing and finishing my writing projects while I am on the road working OTR (over the road) for a trucking company in the USA. This is not a regular VA position. It is ideal for someone who understands writing for theater, film, storytelling, script development, and creative production. It may be especially valuable for someone who wants to advance their own writing career while learning the administrative and professional side of a career in writing. I need help organizing ideas, finishing scripts, translating creative work, researching opportunities, preparing submissions, and shopping finished scripts around to the right places. I am also looking for someone open to discussing ideas, giving thoughtful input, asking questions, and helping develop projects through conversation. We will also integrate AI tools into the workflow. The goal is not to replace the writer’s voice, but to use AI intelligently for organization, brainstorming, research support, translation drafts, summaries, outlines, administrative tasks, and faster preparation of professional materials. The ideal person should be comfortable using AI while still applying human judgment, creativity, and careful editing. Main Tasks Help develop and complete scripts, plays, treatments, and creative ideas Use AI tools to organize notes, summarize conversations, create outlines, compare drafts, and support revisions Translate my play and other creative materials from Spanish to English while preserving tone, rhythm, humor, and theatrical meaning Use AI-assisted translation carefully, followed by human editing to protect voice, meaning, and style Research theater festivals, film festivals, writing competitions, grants, residencies, fellowships, open calls, and public arts opportunities Find production companies, theater companies, literary managers, producers, and organizations that accept scripts or proposals Use AI and online research tools to create organized lists of opportunities, deadlines, requirements, and contacts Prepare and submit work to grants, competitions, and cultural programs Draft emails, query letters, bios, synopses, loglines, proposals, and project descriptions Organize writing projects, notes, drafts, deadlines, submissions, and follow-ups Join long Zoom or video calls where I can talk through ideas while I am driving or parked Take notes from conversations and turn them into organized writing tasks, outlines, drafts, or project plans Most written work will be in English. Many conversations may be in Spanish. Email communication and submissions will usually be in English.
