Summary

We're building a 3D product viewer for our website and need a skilled Blender artist to take AI-generated GLB models from "almost there" to "production-ready." The current models have that telltale cartoonish AI look, and we need them to look like real product photography. The project: We'll start with a small batch of GLB files (shared via Google Drive) to evaluate fit and quality. Strong results lead to ongoing work. We're a promotional products company with a large catalog of items to visualize, so there's real long-term potential here for the right artist. What needs to be done: Clean up AI-generated meshes (artifacts, geometry issues, the usual) Retopologize into proper quad-based structure UV unwrap for accurate texture placement Apply realistic PBR textures, with a focus on fabric and material realism Add surface detail: folds, wrinkles, depth Dial in shading and lighting to eliminate the cartoonish look Optimize for real-time web performance Export final assets as clean, well-structured GLB files Required Skills: Strong Blender experience (modeling, texturing, shading) Mesh cleanup, retopology, UV unwrapping PBR texturing, particularly fabrics and soft goods Solid grasp of lighting and shading for photoreal output Comfortable working with GLB / GLTF formats Experience optimizing models for real-time rendering Nice to Have: Clothing or apparel visualization experience Substance Painter or comparable texturing tools Three.js or web-based 3D viewer familiarity Scan cleanup or AI-generated mesh correction experience What We're Not Looking For: This isn't a light touch-up job. We need someone who can fundamentally transform rough AI output into assets that hold up next to real product photography. If your portfolio doesn't reflect that level of quality, this probably isn't the right fit.
