Blender 3D Model Environment
Worldwide
I need someone to design, assemble, light, and polish a photorealistic Blender environment of an Engineering R&D Office / Robotics Lab Workspace interior. This environment will be rendered in Blender Cycles and used as a virtual background for green-screen YouTube/course videos. I create educational robotics and programming videos, so the scene should feel technically credible while still being clean and readable on camera. The final result needs to look polished as a rendered background, but also remain editable and reusable inside Blender. The final deliverable should be a fully contained .blend file that I can open, adjust camera angles, modify lighting, re-render in Blender Cycles, and reuse across future videos. I am not looking for a full industrial warehouse, futuristic sci-fi lab, medical lab, or generic gaming/streamer room. The target style is closer to a small commercial R&D engineering space, robotics startup demo room, or tech YouTuber workshop: clean, modern, technically credible, warm, and visually interesting without being too distracting. Composition and realism is key for this project. I can provide a contained Blender file or asset folder with some starting assets, including: - UR-style collaborative robot arm with gripper - Workbench with accessories/tools - Additional purchased models if needed - AI-generated reference images showing the general mood/layout I am aiming for (attached to this post) The job is not necessarily to model everything from scratch. I mainly need someone with a good eye for environment design, composition, lighting, material consistency, and Blender scene organization to turn the pre-made assets into a polished reusable environment. I am open to purchasing additional assets as long as you ask for approval. The background will be composited behind a real person. The environment should be designed around video readability: - Leave clear negative space behind the presenter - Avoid high-contrast clutter directly behind head/shoulders - Lighting should feel believable for a talking-head video - Camera perspective should feel natural, not too wide-angle or distorted - Background should be interesting but not visually overwhelming - The scene should still look good when partially covered by a presenter - Slight imperfections/details should be present to add to realism (examples: air ducts, sprinklers, outlets, light switches, lightly stained work table-tops) The scene may include some of the following, depending on composition: - Collaborative robot arm as a hero prop - Engineering workbench or maker bench - Shelves with robotics/electronics props - Sensors, PCBs, small robot parts, cameras, LiDAR-style props - 3D printer or electronics tools - Wall-mounted screens/posters showing abstract robotics software visuals - Subtle node graphs, point clouds, simulation screens, control panels, or engineering diagrams - Ceiling ducts, cable trays, practical lights, outlets, and small commercial-space details These do not all need to be included. I care more about a cohesive, realistic composition than cramming in every possible object. Workflow / Milestones: Milestone 1 - Layout / Blockout Rough room layout using provided assets. Establish wall/floor/ceiling, workbench positions, robot arm location, camera angle, presenter-safe zone, and overall composition. Milestone 2 - First Style Render Add materials, lighting direction, wall screens/posters, major props, and provide a first rendered still frame. Milestone 3 - Detail / Polish Pass Improve realism, lighting, prop placement, material consistency, scale, and camera framing. Milestone 4 - Final Blender File Handoff Deliver packed .blend file, organized assets/textures, and any notes needed for me to adjust/render the scene myself. You would be a good fit if you have experience with: - Blender environment design - Photorealistic interior rendering - Cycles lighting/materials - Product visualization or tech/engineering scenes - Organizing Blender files for handoff - Kitbashing purchased assets into a cohesive scene - Designing backgrounds for video, virtual production, or content creators Feel free to include examples of any interior, studio, lab, workshop, office, product-rendering, or Blender environment work you have done. I look forward to working with you :)
