Book Layout & Graphic Designer needed to refine Art Book Layout & Optimize Images for Print

We are looking for an experienced InDesign Specialist, Photoshop Expert, and Book Designer to finalize a ~145-page square coffee table book. The book is minimal text and heavily visual. The overall narrative flow, story structure, and page sequencing are already complete (90–95% laid out). We need a talented designer with exceptional photo editing and image layout skills to polish the visual rhythm, optimize the media workflow in Adobe Creative Cloud, and design/refine the front and back covers. If you have a strong eye for visual storytelling, high-end editorial design, and a deep technical mastery of print preparation, we’d love to collaborate! Key Responsibilities 1. Image Layout & Visual Fine-Tuning Visual Rhythm & Layout: Clean up and elevate image placements, compositions, grids, and page flow for a high-end coffee table aesthetic. Typography Polish: Streamline the minimal text elements (font hierarchy, character/paragraph styles, positioning) to complement the visual-first presentation. Creative Input: While the sequence is set, fresh editorial and creative perspectives on image arrangements and visual pacing are highly welcomed. 2. Photo Editing & Asset Optimization Image Resizing & Linking: The original image files are currently quite large. You will resize/optimize them and host them within Adobe Creative Cloud so the author can easily adjust images in Photoshop later while keeping links intact. Photoshop Fine-Tuning: Ensure image colors, quality, and technical parameters are optimized for print. 3. Cover & Back Cover Design Format, refine, and polish the front cover, spine, and back cover layouts for the square print format. 4. Print Readiness Package the final InDesign file cleanly and export print-ready PDFs (with proper bleeds, crop marks, color profiles, and specs for square-bound coffee table books). Assets Provided To get started smoothly, we will provide: The existing Adobe InDesign working file. A complete PDF preview of the current layout. A shared link containing all high-resolution photos and original image assets used in the book. Required Skills & Qualifications Deep expertise in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud asset management/linking. Strong background in coffee table book design, photo-driven layouts, and print production. Advanced photo editing skills and an eye for high-end visual aesthetics. Proven experience preparing image-heavy documents for commercial printing. Creative flair for cover and jacket design.
