Bookkeeper / Accounting Clean-Up Specialist Needed

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant to clean up and organize our accounting records from January 2026. The records are currently messy and incomplete, and the primary objective is to establish accurate opening balances for multiple entities. The successful candidate will review and organize records, reconstruct opening balances, record and categorize transactions, perform reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and prepare Excel working papers, General Ledger (GL), Trial Balance (TB), Profit & Loss (P&L), and Balance Sheet (BS). The final deliverables should also include a list of outstanding issues, assumptions made, and recommendations for improvement. Strong bookkeeping, accounting clean-up, reconciliation, and Excel skills are required. Experience with messy records and multi-entity accounting is an advantage. All supporting documents will be provided via Google Drive. Working hours are flexible, and daily progress updates may be required. This is an initial project with potential for additional work if performance is satisfactory.
