Bookkeeper / Controller (Part-Time, Remote) | High-Growth Beauty Startup

About Us gemi is a fast-growing, female-founded beauty brand reimagining hand care through K-beauty innovation. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online Categorize transactions and reconcile bank and credit card accounts Maintain accurate financial records across multiple sales channels (Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Faire, wholesale, etc.) Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Generate and send invoices; track payments Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Assist with month-end and year-end close Coordinate with our CPA on tax filings and financial reporting Track inventory accounting and cost of goods sold Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts Assist with budgeting and financial planning Build and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs Recommend and implement accounting process improvements and internal controls Support fundraising, banking, and investor requests as needed Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Experience with QuickBooks Online required Experience with Shopify, Amazon, or e-commerce accounting strongly preferred Familiarity with inventory accounting and COGS Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently and proactively identify issues Excellent communication skills Bonus Qualifications Experience with consumer products, beauty, or CPG brands Experience with Amazon FBA accounting Experience with inventory management systems (Cin7, Finale, etc.) Engagement Part-time (approximately 5–10 hours per week to start) Remote Flexible schedule Opportunity to grow into a larger role as the company scales To Apply Please include: A brief introduction Your relevant bookkeeping and e-commerce experience The accounting software and platforms you've worked with Examples of beauty, CPG, or consumer brands you've supported (if applicable) Your hourly rate Availability What we're looking for We're looking for more than a bookkeeper—we're looking for someone who can become a trusted financial partner as we grow.
